If you paid Franchise Fees to the city of East Lansing through payment to the Lansing Board of Water and Light for electric service at any time between April 2, 2019, and April 30, 2025, then you may be a Class Member. Class Members who file a claim may be eligible to receive a refund. These payments are currently expected to be over $500.00 but may be larger or smaller depending on the number of claims.
To receive a refund, Class Members must submit a valid Claim Form by September 2, 2025.
To start your online claim, you can find your Unique ID & PIN printed on the Notice that was sent to you. If you are unable to locate your Unique ID & PIN on the Notice that was sent to you, or if you have misplaced the Notice that was sent to you, please contact the Settlement Administrator at info@EastLansingElectricSettlement.com. You may be asked to provide your full name and mailing address in order to obtain the misplaced Unique ID & PIN.
If you did not receive a Notice, or are unable to locate it and do not have time to contact the Settlement Administrator due to the upcoming Claim Deadline, you may click here to file a claim without a Unique ID and PIN.
